Like Dr Johnston, Dr Wijeyesinghe values the importance of providing advanced treatment options for her patients, in particular, using the latest clinical techniques and cutting-edge technology in smile design, treatment planning and dental procedures. Dr Wijeyesinghe loves how dentistry is evolving into the digital world and has extensive experience in bonded ceramic restorations using the latest CAD/CAM technology.
Dr Wijeyesinghe also practices a ‘biomimetic’ approach; in other words, conserving as much of her patients’ natural tooth structure and natural dentition as possible. This supportive process, combined with her gentle wholistic care, ensures Dr Wijeyesinghe’s patients receive effective dental treatment and a clearunderstanding of their dental needs and long-term treatment options.
A self-confessed perfectionist who’s always seeking new ways to improve, Dr Wijeyesinghe sets the bar high and strives to deliver superior clinical dentistry that truly impacts her patients’ lives.
The daughter of a doctor and a dentist, as a young person Dr Wijeyesinghe always aspired to work in health care. After graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne, Dr Wijeyesinghe first worked in an established private dental practice in Wangaratta for several years before moving to Ballarat.
Away from the Face & Smile clinic, Dr Wijeyesinghe enjoys spending time with her husband and raising their three young children. Plus, she’s developed a love of tennis and relishes a friendly match in her spare time.
